This work is part of a series of miniatures. Seemingly random objects play a leading role in my work. I treat them as if they were treasures of great value, and why shouldn't they be? It is a pig's ear, an animal that once lived and is now sold as a dog snack. Can't we handle this a little more carefully? I collect all kinds of things, things that would normally end up in the trash, because they are no longer useful.
