Invited by the Allumnious light festival, a work has emerged from an unexpected but delightful collaboration between Tim Vermeulen and Louise te Poele, supervised by Eva Line de Boer from theatre Suburbia
Motus Vitae (movement of life) shows a fascinating miracle in the forest of Lumière Park. This planetarium looks like a mysterious planetary system that technologically lives and breathes, a miniature of an undiscovered place in the universe? Usually we see planetariums in a museum, but in the Almere city park, this wondrous system becomes an invitation to be curious about the universe, the planet beneath your feet, and as a miniature also to find the fragility of life fascinating.
According to the artists, looking at this work of art is a ritual of surrendering to everything we do not yet know, making us curious and then: chance.
Our thanks go to: curator Ward Janssen, the brains and capable hands of Merijn versnel, to HVRS show for the light and sound and Guillermo Palacios for his amazing projector.
Come see our miracle in the forest from
25 October to 3 November at Alluminous Light art festival in Almere.
